IRS Problem Resolution & Audit Protection

Got an IRS letter? Take a breath — we’ll take it from here.

You’re not alone

You don’t have to face the IRS by yourself

An IRS notice can make your stomach drop. The good news: most tax problems can be resolved, and you don’t have to handle them yourself. Only three kinds of professionals have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS — CPAs, attorneys and Enrolled Agents — and our team includes both an Enrolled Agent and a CPA.

Once you sign IRS Form 2848, a power of attorney, we become your voice. We pull your IRS transcripts, respond to notices, work with collections and represent you in audits. Most clients never speak with or meet the IRS — we handle the calls, letters and deadlines and keep you informed at every step.

  • Representation with a signed Form 2848 power of attorney
  • Enrolled Agent and CPA on our team
  • Federal (IRS) and Georgia Department of Revenue matters

Issues we resolve

Whatever the letter says, there’s a next step

From a simple notice to years of unfiled returns, we’ve helped clients through it.

    Balance-due, mismatch and proposed-change notices.

  • Unfiled tax returns

Catch up on missing years and stop penalties from growing.

  • Tax liens & levies

Release levies and address liens on property and accounts.

  • Wage garnishments

Act quickly to stop or reduce garnishment of your pay.

  • IRS audits

Full representation through examination and appeals.

  • Payroll & employment tax

Late deposits, 941 issues and trust fund penalty exposure.

  • Improper S corp elections

Late or invalid elections, relief requests and cleanup.

  • Georgia DOR notices

Income, withholding and sales tax matters with the state.

Audit protection

If your return is examined, we’re already in your corner

Audit protection means representation at the state and federal level — all the way through appeals — without scrambling to find help or facing an auditor alone. We handle the correspondence, organize the documentation and speak for you, so an exam becomes a process instead of a crisis.

Our process

Four steps to resolution

A clear path from the day your notice arrives to the day it’s behind you.
  1. 1

    Review the notice

We read the letter, confirm it’s legitimate and note every deadline.

  2. 2

    POA & transcripts

With Form 2848 signed, we pull your IRS transcripts to see the full picture.

  3. 3

    Build a strategy

We compare options — from corrections to payment plans — and recommend the best path.

  4. 4

    Resolve & stay compliant

We close out the issue and set up a plan so it doesn’t happen again.

FAQ

IRS resolution questions

Straight answers about representation, audits and collections.
Will I have to talk to the IRS myself?

Usually not. Once you sign IRS Form 2848 (power of attorney), we communicate with the IRS on your behalf. Most of our clients never speak with or meet an IRS employee.

Who is allowed to represent me before the IRS?

CPAs, attorneys and Enrolled Agents have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Our team includes an Enrolled Agent and a CPA.

I haven’t filed in years. What happens now?

We pull your IRS transcripts to see what the IRS has on record, prepare the missing returns and build a plan for any balance due. Getting compliant voluntarily is almost always better than waiting for the IRS to act first.

Can you stop a wage garnishment or bank levy?

Often, yes. Levies can frequently be released once you are back in compliance and in an agreed resolution, such as an installment agreement or currently-not-collectible status. Timing matters, so contact us as soon as a levy notice arrives.

What is audit protection?

Audit protection means we handle the correspondence and represent you at the state and federal level — up through appeals — if a return is examined, so you are not facing the auditor alone or paying surprise hourly fees.

Do you handle Georgia Department of Revenue notices too?

Yes. We resolve Georgia DOR notices — income tax, withholding and sales tax issues — alongside any federal matters.
